SRL No 895 Thompson A2/3 Class No 60500 at Kings Cross in 1961
Thompson A2/3 Class 4-6-2 No 60500 'Edward Thompson' waits to depart London Kings Cross station for the north on the 19th February 1961. Built in May 1946 and initially was allocated to Gateshead she before a move to Kings Cross where the engine stayed until June 1950 a move to Peterborough New England. No 60500 remained there until withdrawn 16th June 1963. Simon Lathlane Collection
