SRL No 70 A4 Class No 60004 at St Margarets 1965

Gresley A4 Class 4-6-2 No 60004 'William Whitelaw' inside Edinburgh St Margarets shed 25th March 1965. A lovely executed shot in difficult light by the photographer. When built in 1937 the engine was named 'Great Snipe' but renamed 'William Whitelaw' in 1941. During that time the engine moved from the north-east to Scotland where it worked until withdrawn in July 1966.
