Calstock viaduct and the wagon lift 1907
A fabulous viewpoint looking down the viaduct from the Devon side mid 1907. On the 8th August the first load of spoil was run over the completed viaduct. Of note is the erection of the wagon lift on the far side which at 113ft was the highest lifts in the country. Designed by Church & Galbraith it enabled wagons to be lowered down to the quay.
