Snow November 1904
A wonderful image taken by Frederick J. Paul and notes recorded tell us that work had to be stopped because of heavy snow on the 23rd November. Here we see two operators putting up the new cableway. The chimney on the far side is Westlake's brickworks. Also in view moored up for the winter is the paddle steamer 'Alexandra' and just above her the demolished houses.
